This can be called the worst English football tragedy. It took place at Hillsborough which has become synonymous to disaster. On the 15th of April 1989 when tow teams Liverpool and Nottingham Forest were just to face in the semi-final of the FA Cup. Event planning had sent all Liverpool supporters to one main entrance of the stadium. Due to which there created congestion and delays, as there were more fans than easy to handle. As a relive exit gates were opened. The crowed of fans headed towards the closest entrances. In a result fans were soon packed together and pressed against the fence along the pitch. They tried climbing over or cutting holes in the fence to get relieve the pressure of the crush. Police was also trying to control the situation but their way of controlling made the situation more worst and about 96 people died in a result and many injured seriously.
