Ronaldo 7EGEND – CR7 to Launch Digital Agency Venture
Celebrities in different fields of entertainment had ventured into the world of startups and invested in technology recently, and sports stars have not stayed behind in this. However, the world’s most popular and marketable soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, had stayed away from the tech world. But, now, the highest paid soccer player has finally decided to step into this world.
According to the recent stories published in Portuguese by Eco and other in other titles. Ronaldo has just acquired a major share in one of the biggest digital agencies of Portugal, with the plan to create a whole new tech brand, as well as a platform to start new tech items. For this, Ronaldo has purchased the major stake of Thing Pink of Portugal. The company is led by Luis Parafita, and is associated with a number of high-profile projects in the region of Iberian peninsula.

The Portuguese company used to describe themselves as “a multidisciplinary team of thinkers, strategists, designers, engineers, producers, pirates and proud geeks, reshaping digital experiences and ecosystems”. Ronaldo, on the other hand, has proceeded with the vision to create a new vehicle which will operate under the brand name 7EGEND”, and replace the original brand, Thing Pink. The team is currently working to set up the team which will operate from Madeira-based Craque. Even before the brand is launched, Ronaldo has already started building its presence on Instagram and Facebook.
Sources have confirmed that 7EGEND will operate more or less as the “continuation” of Thing Pink. However, it has also been said that Ronaldo’s new venture will proceed to start the production of its own stand-alone tech products. Previously, Thing Pink used to be responsible for the installation of the whole digital component of Ronaldo’s CR7 museum in Funchal on the island of Madeira Island. The company is also noted for the development of smartphone applications big names such as for McDonald’s, Futebol Clube do Porto and FNAC.
7EGEND will be one of the other business ventures that Ronaldo has ventured into. The player has several other investments in different areas, such as fashion, hospitality, health care, etc., the most recent of them being the launch of his CR7 brand of men’s denim wear collection, as well as many different endorsement deals with top brands of the world.
